Salt and Pepper Shakers, 2014
spray paint, acrylic, clay
Meal time, although successful in bringing together family and friends, isn't as social and interactive as it could be. Technology, work, and personal issues tend to still exist and occupy minds, creating barriers even in close proximity. These salt and pepper shakers fully depend on the weight of each other in order to stand. If one is moved without the other being supported, it spills. This demands that those at the table to remain present, and aware of each other's needs.
